Background
Studio Tate (ST) are a bespoke interiorarchitecture practice providing designexpertise across the residential, commercialand leisure sectors.
Founded in 2014, and recognising that to growand develop their organisation, the founderssought to identify and develop a uniquepartnership with an organisation that couldsupport the organisations development in thelong-term. TGB have been working with STsince 2019 to develop their business strategyand growth including advisory, strategic andleadership services.
Our role
TGB were initially engaged by ST in late 2018 tocarry out a detailed review of the ST business anddevelop a future purpose and vision for theorganisation.
Subsequently, TGB undertook a re-assessment ofthe ST value proposition to improve it’s marketpositioning and worked with project teams to buildimplementation skills and capability. This includedcoaching and mentoring of staff at all levels of theorganisation.
TGB are currently developing a 3 year strategic plan and implementation process to support the ongoingdevelopment and maturity of the organisation andworking with the leadership team to build their capability.
The solutions
Critical to the process that TGB have taken StudioTate through were the following solution-focused activities:
- Alignment of the Owners of the business
- Clarity regarding direction, vision, services and future size of the organisation
- Understanding of Roles and Responsibilities, identifying skill gaps and building capability
- Defining the core capabilities, processes and tools required to achieve their ambitions
- Clear understanding of services, target markets and client experience they want to create
- Identifying and developing Studio Tate's unique value proposition
- Building leadership and project management capability through mentoring and coaching
To develop the organisations aspirations, TGB carried out an in-depth process with ST’s Clients, Directors, Staff & Partners to assess the organisations current state and define it’s longer-term aspirations and workplace requirements.
